PDF Viewer — Open, Search and Print PDFs
Browser PDF viewer with zoom, page list, full-text search and printing, without uploading the file
Runs in your browser · nothing is uploaded
Drop the PDF to view here
One PDF (up to 100 MB). It opens only in this browser and is never sent to a server.
What it does
A PDF viewer that runs in the browser with nothing to install. Drop a file and the first page opens at once; the page list on the left (on top on phones) jumps to any page. It zooms, fits to width, searches the whole document and prints. PDFs with an open password can be viewed once you enter the password. The file is not uploaded; it is opened only in this browser.
How to use
- Drop one PDF on the box or press Choose PDF. If it asks for a password, type it and press Open.
- Move between pages with ‹ ›, the page number box or the page list.
- Zoom with − + or the zoom list. “Fit width” matches the window width.
- Type a word in Find in document and press Enter to see how many hits there are and where. Use ↑ ↓ for the previous or next hit.
- Press Print to print on paper.
How it works
- Engine: Mozilla’s PDF.js (Apache-2.0). Pages are drawn sharp for the zoom level and your screen’s pixel density, within the device’s canvas limit.
- Zoom: 25% to 400%; 100% is real print size (1 inch = 96 CSS pixels).
- Search: case-insensitive, Unicode NFC-normalised, any run of spaces counts as one space, and line breaks join as a space.
- Printing: each page is rendered as a 150 dpi image and sent to the print dialog. Very small print can be less crisp than printing from a desktop PDF program.
- Not included: selecting or copying text, following links, editing comments and filling in forms. To copy text, use PDF to Text.
- Limit: files up to 100 MB.

FAQ
Is my file uploaded?
No. The viewer opens the PDF inside your browser only. Even on a work computer where you cannot install a PDF reader, the file never leaves the machine.
Can it open password-protected PDFs?
Yes. When a file asks for a password, a password field appears. The password is used only to open the file and is not stored. Files whose password you don't know cannot be opened.
How does search work?
It searches the text of every page, ignoring case, and also finds words stored in decomposed Unicode form (common in PDFs made on a Mac). Click a result or use the ↑ ↓ buttons and the hit is highlighted on the page. Scanned PDFs have no text information and cannot be searched.
How do I print?
Press Print and every page is prepared as a 150 dpi image and the browser's print dialog opens. You can choose "Save as PDF" there instead of a printer.
Can I turn pages with the keyboard?
Yes. Focus the page area and use Left/Right or PageUp/PageDown to turn pages, + / − to zoom and Home/End for the first and last page.
