What it is
An online dice tray for board games, tabletop role-playing, probability lessons or settling a bet. Roll up to 20 dice at a time in the usual sizes (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100) and see every die plus the total with your modifier. You can also type notation such as 2d6+3 directly. Your last 10 rolls stay in a short history. All of it happens in your browser.
How to use
- Pick how many dice to roll and choose a size from d4 to d100.
- Add a modifier such as +3 or -2 if your game calls for one.
- Press Roll. Each die and the total appear straight away.
- To roll with notation, type something like
2d6+3in the box below and press Roll notation. - Look back through the recent rolls, and clear them whenever you like.
How it works
- Notation:
NdSmeans N dice with S sides, followed by optional+numberor-numbermodifiers. Case and spaces are ignored, and a missing count means 1. - Several terms: chain terms like
2d6+1d4-1d8+5. A term with a minus sign, such as-1d8, subtracts that die from the total. - Limits: 20 dice in total, 2 to 1,000 sides, and a modifier between -9,999 and 9,999. If you go past a limit the tool tells you which one.
- Randomness: each die takes a value from
crypto.getRandomValuesusing rejection sampling, mapped to 1 through the number of sides. Dice are independent, andMath.randomis never used. - History: the 10 most recent rolls are listed newest first; older ones drop off.

FAQ
What does 2d6+3 mean?
Roll two six-sided dice, add the faces together, then add 3. The first number is how many dice, the number after d is how many sides, and the last number is a modifier. If you leave the count out, as in d20, it means one die.
Are the rolls fair?
Yes. Each die draws a value from your browser's cryptographic generator (crypto.getRandomValues) without modulo bias, so every face is equally likely. Math.random is not used.
Can I mix different dice?
In the notation box you can add and subtract terms such as 2d6+1d4-1d8+2. A subtracted die lowers the total by its face value. You may use up to 20 dice in total, with 2 to 1,000 sides each.
Where is my history stored?
