Level 1. Moves 0. Crates placed 0 / 1.
How to play & a little advice
Move with arrow keys, WASD, or the direction buttons below. Push one crate at a time; you cannot pull crates. Place every crate on a green destination to clear the room.
A crate pushed into a corner without a destination cannot come back out. Use Undo to try a different route.
Choose freely from 10 levels. Moves and completed levels stay on this page only; refreshing resets them.A small warehouse, a satisfying puzzle
Sokoban is a box-pushing puzzle: move a worker through a warehouse and push every crate onto a destination. The controls are simple, but each push can open a route or close one for good. These 10 handcrafted rooms start with a short introduction and add more crates, pillars, and narrow passages.
How to play
- The first room is ready when the page opens. Use the level selector to jump to any room.
- Click the board and move with arrow keys or WASD. On a phone or tablet, use the direction buttons below the board.
- Walk toward a neighboring crate to push it one square. Crates turn green and show a check mark when placed on a destination.
- Place every crate to finish the room. Continue to the next level or replay for fewer moves.
- Use Undo after a mistake. Restart level restores the starting layout and clears that level’s move history.
Rules and counters
A successful step adds one move. Pushing a crate adds both one move and one push. Walking into a wall, or trying to push two crates at once, changes nothing and adds no moves. Undo restores the worker, crates, and both counters to their previous values.
You can push only one crate at a time, and you cannot pull. A crate needs an empty square behind it to move. Crates already on destinations may be moved again until every crate is placed and the level is complete.
An example and a useful strategy
In the first room, move right twice. The first step approaches the crate; the second pushes it onto its destination. The result is two moves and one push.
Before pushing, check whether you can still walk around the crate afterward. A crate in a corner without a destination cannot be recovered by walking around it. Sometimes you should leave a destination empty temporarily so another crate can pass through. There is no time limit, so plan a route, try it, and undo freely.
FAQ
Can I pull crates or push two at once?
No. You can only push one crate at a time into an empty floor or destination square. A crate pushed into a corner without a destination is stuck; use Undo to recover.
Are all the levels solvable?
Yes. All 10 starting layouts have verified solutions. Your own moves can still make a level impossible to finish, so use Undo or Restart level when a crate becomes stuck.
Is there a timer or undo limit?
There is no timer and no fixed undo limit. Undo retraces successful moves in the current level. Blocked moves do not add to your move count or undo history.
Will my progress be saved?
Completed level markers remain while this page is open. Refreshing or closing the page resets the game and completion history. No account or server storage is used.
