Find your way to dark.
One touch. A ripple of change.
How to play
Press a cell to flip it and its neighbors above, below, left and right. Turn every light off to win. Pressing the same cell twice reverses that move.
Use arrow keys to choose a cell and Enter or Space to press. On a phone, tap a cell.
Every puzzle is generated to be solvable. A hint suggests one move in a valid solution from your current board, not necessarily the shortest solution.About the puzzle
Turn every light off. Pressing one cell also flips its neighbors, so you need to consider how moves interact. Play directly in your browser without an account or installation.
How to play
- Choose a 3×3 warm-up, a 4×4 challenge or a 5×5 board.
- Press a cell and watch its cross-shaped neighborhood flip.
- Use Show a hint if you need a suggested next move.
- Undo reverses one move; Start over restores the same puzzle.
- Choose New puzzle for a different board.
Rules and details
- You win when no lights remain on.
- Pressing the same cell twice cancels that move. The order of presses does not change the final result.
- Moves counts the current move history; undo reduces it by one.
- Hints are counted separately. Reloading resets the game.
- Use arrow keys to choose a cell, then Enter or Space to press it.
Example
The center of a 3×3 board flips five cells: itself and its four neighbors. A corner flips only three cells: itself and its two neighbors.
FAQ
Which lights change when I press a cell?
The cell and its immediate neighbors above, below, left and right flip. Diagonals do not change, and moves do not wrap around the edges.
Is every puzzle solvable?
Every board is generated by applying legal presses to an empty board, so a solution exists. A hint shows one move from a valid solution for the current board, not necessarily the shortest solution.
Does a hint play the move for me?
No. It outlines a suggested cell for you to press. The outline disappears after your next move.
