Falling Blocks — Free Block Puzzle
Stack colorful blocks and clear full rows before the board fills up

Make room. Find your rhythm.
Seven shapes. One clear line at a time.
How to play
Focus the board: ← → move, ↑ rotate, ↓ soft drop, Space hard drop, P pause. Touch buttons work too.
Fill a row to clear it. Clearing 1–4 lines awards 100 / 300 / 500 / 800 × level. Every 10 lines increases the speed. The game ends when a new piece cannot spawn.
Rotation tries horizontal offsets up to two cells; no floor kicks. A piece locks on its next blocked downward step. Leaving the game pauses it. Refreshing resets the game.Build a little breathing room
Fit seven four-square shapes into a board 10 cells wide and 20 cells tall. Complete horizontal rows disappear, making room for the next piece. This independent falling-block puzzle runs in your browser; your moves do not need a server or an account.

Rules and a scoring example
A shape locks when its next downward step is blocked. A hard drop locks immediately. There is no separate lock-delay timer or upward rotation correction. New shapes arrive in shuffled groups containing one of each shape.
At level 1, clearing two rows at once scores 300 points, plus any drop points. Every ten cleared rows raises the level and shortens the automatic drop interval, from 800 milliseconds down to a minimum of 100 milliseconds. The game ends when the next shape cannot fit at its starting position.
Use the preview to preserve a clear landing area. A new game asks before discarding an active round. Scores stay only in the current page and are not saved across refreshes.
FAQ
How are new pieces chosen?
Each shuffled bag contains all seven shapes exactly once. The next-piece preview shows the first upcoming shape.
How do rotations work?
Pieces turn clockwise. The game tries offsets of zero, one and two cells to either side. It does not apply upward or floor kicks.
Will the game continue when I leave the page?
No. Leaving the game controls, switching tabs or losing window focus pauses play. Press Resume to continue. Refreshing clears the game.
How is the score calculated?
Clearing one, two, three or four lines gives 100, 300, 500 or 800 points multiplied by the current level. Soft drops add one point per cell and hard drops add two.
