What it is

A classic arcade game about chasing food and growing a longer snake. Play instantly without an account or installation. Everything runs in your browser, and scores are not saved to a server or browser storage.

How to play

  1. Choose Chill, Classic or Fast speed.
  2. Select Start game, then steer with arrow keys or WASD.
  3. On a phone, swipe the board or use the direction buttons.
  4. Select Pause for a break, or Restart to begin a fresh game.

Rules

  • The board has 20 × 20 cells. Your snake starts with three segments.
  • Each bite earns 10 points and adds one segment.
  • Hitting a wall or your own body ends the game. Walls do not wrap around.
  • You cannot reverse direction directly. Only the first valid turn before the next movement is accepted.
  • Fill every cell to win. Changing speed does not change the scoring.

Example

If you are moving right and food is above you, turn up. To head left, first travel up or down before turning again. As the snake grows, take wider routes and leave room to escape.

How does scoring work?
